The leading multi-national lottery operator, Allwyn, strengthened its team with a new senior-level appointment.
Earlier this week, the company announced it had hired Kresimir Spajic, a former Betfred executive with solid experience.
The exec with 20+ years of experience assumes Allwyn Digital CEO role
Joining Allwyn, Spajic will serve as CEO of Allwyn Digital in a period of transformative growth and expansion of the business.
Bringing a range of skills and in-depth knowledge, the new CEO complements the company's ambition to evolve in a more digitally led and connected way, while delivering its customers exceptional experiences.
Spajic will officially assume his role of CEO of Allwyn Digital effective from September 1, 2025, a statement released by the group reveals.
His job responsibilities will include advancing the company's sportsbook, iGaming and digital product capabilities, among other growth objectives.
In his role, Spajic will be based in Lucerne, Switzerland, and he will report directly to the group's CEO, Robert Chvatal.
In June, Allwyn released its first quarter financial results, recording a year-over-year revenue increase of 6%.
Per that report, the company's Q1 revenue hit €2.24bn, positioning it well for further growth.

Allwyn Digital's new CEO shared his excitement and said: "Allwyn has a bold ambition of transforming the way players engage with lotteries, gaming and casual entertainment."

Robert Chvatal, Allwyn's CEO, was also excited about the latest senior-level hire and recognized the appointment of the executive as a major step in the transformation of the business.

Finally, Chvatal said: "I am delighted to welcome him to Allwyn in this exciting new chapter."
Overall, Spajic has more than two decades of experience in the online gaming industry.
Throughout his extensive career, he accumulated significant knowledge and his track record in transforming businesses speaks for itself.
Besides Betfred, Spajic was also employed by other industry giants, including Hard Rock International and Caesars Entertainment, among others.
