The leading sports betting and gaming entertainment company, BetMGM, announced a new collaboration with the Las Vegas Aces, one of the WNBA's original franchises.
The latest deal, representing the first major partnership for the company with a women's professional sports franchise, is expected to benefit the duo, bringing engaging experiences for basketball fans and bettors alike.
Thanks to the new deal, BetMGM will reach bettors and basketball fans alike
Per the new agreement, the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces designated BetMGM as its exclusive online casino and sportsbook partner.
The newly announced multi-year agreement will run through the 2027 season, bringing advertising opportunities for BetMGM.
Under the deal, BetMGM will benefit from prominent signage at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
In addition, the leading betting and gaming operator will tap into sponsorship opportunities via the Las Vegas Aces' social media channels.
Even better, the new sponsorship will bring courtside access to pre-game shootarounds, as well as luxury VIP seating for BetMGM players.
Similar to other sponsorship agreements, BetMGM gains access to commercial inventory for nationally televised games of the popular team.
The operator will have the ability to offer experiences and WNBA tickets for its VIP players, and create co-branded content that would be distributed via BetMGM's social media platforms and digital channels.
Furthermore, the collaboration with the team will see BetMGM deliver a WNBA-branded online slot game.
The leading betting and gaming operator did not confirm when the game is expected to launch but confirmed it will be available in jurisdictions where its iGaming platform is live.
The partnership with the Las Vegas Aces comes at a time when BetMGM has recorded a significant uptick in interest in WNBA betting.
During the 2024 season, the leading betting company saw an increase of 133% year-over-year in the number of bets. Not unexpectedly, this prompted BetMGM to expand its betting offering, delivering more options than ever before.
The deal brings excitement to the WNBA and BetMGM
Colie Edison, WNBA's Chief Growth Officer, shared her excitement about the latest collaboration.
"On the heels of an incredible 2024 season when WNBA delivered significant growth in all areas of fan engagement, and with so much excitement surrounding the 2025 season, we want to continue to lean into betting and finding new and innovative ways to engage with our fans and provide the experiences they want," she revealed.
Finally, Edison said: "BetMGM is doing just that by offering new and expansive betting markets for WNBA fans. And by partnering with the Aces, BetMGM continues to recognize the extraordinary potential for growth that comes from tapping into the power of women's sports and the connections fans have to their favorite players and teams."
Lance Evans, MGM Resorts International's SVP Sports and Sponsorships, was similarly delighted.
The executive spoke about the important role the Las Vegas Aces have played since 2018, that helped the city grow as a "global sports and entertainment destination."
Last but not least, Evans pointed out: "Together with BetMGM, we look forward to hosting gameday events at Mandalay Bay, as well as our other properties, allowing local and visiting fans to interact with their favorite basketball teams."
