The largest gambling provider in the Netherlands, Nederlandse Loterij (the Dutch Lottery), will be looking forward to the appointment of a new financial executive.

The move is necessary as the Lottery confirmed on Friday the departure of Jet Roos-van Aerssen from her role.

The outgoing Chief Financial and Risk Officer made a significant impact

It was back in May 2024 when Aerssen first joined the Dutch Lottery.

She joined the largest gambling organization in the country, bringing experience from different sectors.

At the time, Aerssen was appointed to the strategic role of Chief Financial and Risk Officer.

In this position, she succeeded Arjan Blok, who climbed up the ladder by becoming CEO of the Lottery.

Throughout Aerssen's career, she held a range of senior-level international and national financial roles.

Prior to the Dutch Lottery, she was employed by General Electric, Aegon, as well as Talpa Network.

Blok, who currently serves as CEO of Nederlandse Loterij, spoke about the departure of the Chief Financial and Risk Officer, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.

"Jet has made a significant impact on our organization and our contribution to sports and exercise in the past year and a half," he explained.

Finally, Blok pointed out: "We've come to know her as a professional and appreciate her dedication to the Dutch Lottery. Naturally, we wish Jet every success in the future."

Changes to the senior-level team at the Lottery continue

The latest change to the C-suite at the Dutch Lottery comes during a busy period for the gambling operator.

Earlier this year, the Dutch Lottery confirmed the appointment of Yvonne de Liefde and Claudia Sampaio.

The former was appointed Head of Sponsoring and Partnerships, and the latter assumed the role of Director of Retail.

While the Dutch Lottery confirmed the departure of Jet Roos-van Aerssen, a successor to her role is yet to be announced.

Nederlandse Loterij did not confirm whether or not an executive was tasked with interim powers for the Chief Financial and Risk Officer role.
