The world's largest creator, producer and manager of lottery instant games, Scientific Games, continues to expand its portfolio.
Only recently, the company unveiled details regarding Obsidian, its newest premium instant scratch game innovation.
Obsidian promises a premium scratch game experience
Marking the latest addition to Scientific Games' holographic product offering, the new game brings 18 unique design concepts.
The new Obsidian games offer an intriguing combination of all-black tones and holographic elements with the goal of offering a sleek and glasslike appearance.
The new game innovation is named after Obsidian, the naturally occurring volcanic rock, and promises a premium scratch game experience.
Danielle Hodges, Scientific Games' Senior Director, Global Product Innovation and Development, spoke about the importance of the newest product, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
"Our game innovators have followed holographic trends on high-end luxury items and were inspired to create fresh, new games centered on value proposition design for our lottery partners," she explained.
Finally, Hodges pointed out: "At a time when the market basket average is increasing, holographic games allow lotteries to differentiate their games by adding a touch of luxury and uniqueness. In sneak previews of Obsidian with several lotteries, the response we’ve received is pure excitement."
The release of the new scratch game innovation comes after an important partnership announced by Scientific Games.
Only recently, the company agreed to elevate the retail operations of the Georgia Lottery with the delivery of its SCiQ solution.
The company will showcase a number of products at NASPL 2025
According to Scientific Games, its Innovation and Discovery teams located at its metro Atlanta, Georgia, global headquarters led the development of the groundbreaking Obsidian scratch games.
Besides at its Atlanta facility, which is the largest lottery instant game production facility in the world, the brand-new games are going to be produced at company facilities located in the UK and Canada.
Obsidian, along with a number of other new products from Scientific Games will be showcased at the North American Association of State & Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) 2025 Conference.
The conference is set to take place between September 8 and September 11 in Ontario, Canada.
During NASPL 2025, Scientific Games will officially debut its new holographic product games.
In July, the company extended its successful agreement with the Polish National Lottery.
