The global hospitality, gaming and entertainment company, Hard Rock International (HRI), was recognized for its efforts against human trafficking.

On Monday, the company confirmed it was designated as one of the Top Members of The Code by ECPAT International, a leading organization that focuses on research, advocacy and action to stop the exploitation of vulnerable children.

Hard Rock – the first gaming company to earn a Top Member of The Code spot

Becoming one of the Top Members of The Code marks a major achievement for HRI.

This is because it is the first business in the gaming vertical to obtain the prestigious honor, highlighting its dedication to human trafficking prevention.

It was back in 2022 when Hard Rock became a signatory of The Code.

Joining a range of companies from different sectors that are already supporting The Code, members focus on identifying and preventing exploitation.

Undoubtedly, HRI's role is vital, considering that offenders often target the gaming industry.

A range of initiatives reaffirm the company's dedication to fighting human trafficking

In addition to confirming the milestone achievement, HRI and Seminole Gaming delivered an update on their ongoing anti-trafficking efforts.

Such initiatives included Hard Rock's Social Identity Quest (SIQ) Program, organized in collaboration with the US affiliate of ECPAT International, PACT (Protect All Children from Trafficking).

The educational program was completed by half a million students across the United States, as well as in Mexico.

Only recently, HRI also released three new SIQ programs targeting different age groups, as well as a Spanish-language version.

Moreover, so far in 2025, HRI has donated $100,000 to PACT via its Change for Change initiative.

The campaign enables Hard Rock casino guests to donate change to the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, supporting its anti-human trafficking efforts.

Hard Rock considered extensive team member training as part of its dedication to combating human trafficking.

As a result, the company has completed 65,000 training sessions this year alone at its hotels and casinos.

Stephanie Piimauna, HRI's Senior Vice President of People and Inclusion, spoke with excitement about the latest accolades.

"Everyone at Hard Rock International is incredibly honored to be recognized by ECPAT International and The Code for the work we are doing to combat human trafficking," she said.

Finally, Piimauna pointed out: "Human trafficking is a critical issue that demands sustained action from industry leaders. While we are proud of this milestone, we view it as motivation to continue our efforts to protect vulnerable individuals worldwide."
