The largest daily fantasy sports operator in North America, PrizePicks, announced an exciting activation that is expected to further propel its presence.

On Tuesday, the company confirmed it had joined forces with the Houston Astros, the leading American professional baseball team that competes in Major League Baseball (MLB).

PrizePicks to reach new players and baseball fans

Under the terms of the freshly minted agreement, PrizePicks was designated as the Official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner of the famous MLB team.

As a result, PrizePicks customers and baseball fans alike will benefit from a range of exclusive features, including in-stadium activations at Daikin Park as well as digital promotions.

The collaboration with the Astros reaffirms the leading daily fantasy operator's dedication to growing in the MLB vertical, while reaching new fans of the team and sport.

The new multi-year partnership will see PrizePicks join forces with the Astros for a special promotion, City Connect Monday, that would support the MLB team's Monday home games.

Per the agreement, PrizePicks will benefit from prominent branding throughout Daikin Park.

In addition, the leading daily fantasy sports operator will be featured on the team's Astros Radio Network with sponsored segments ahead of each game.

With the Astros appearing on the field wearing their Nike City Connect uniforms, PrizePicks players and baseball fans alike will have a chance to win a $10,000 PrizePicks lineup and tickets to a future game at Daikin Park and see their picks in action.

The announced collaboration comes on the heels of an important accreditation secured by PrizePicks.

In March, the company announced it secured iCAP accreditation from the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) in a move that reaffirmed its dedication to responsible gambling.

Bettors and baseball fans can expect new promotions and experiences

Matt Richardson, the Houston Astros' Vice President Corporate Partnerships, revealed that the team is thrilled to join forces with PrizePicks for this new multi-year agreement.

"PrizePicks continues to invest in Major League Baseball and is committed to engaging fantasy sports fans in both a responsible and fun way," the executive added.

Mike Quigley, PrizePicks' Chief Marketing Officer, said about the latest agreement: "This partnership is all about bringing more fun and bigger rewards to PrizePicks players in Houston."

Finally, Quigley pointed out: "We're rolling out new promotions and experiences that make following the Astros even more exciting for fans — both at the ballpark and at home."

Late last year, PrizePicks strengthened its senior-level team with the appointment of Marcus Sanford for the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

At the same time, the company transitioned Ari Koteles from his previous CFO role to the new position of Chief Business Officer.
