Evolution has added to a long list of bespoke studio developers of online slot games, with Sneaky Slots, the latest and boldest such attempt in the company’s history.
Apart from acquiring already established brands, Evolution is now focusing on starting from scratch, drawing on its vast experience in the slot vertical, as the company continues to pursue aggressive growth in the segment.
Evolution builds on its track record in the slot segment
Sneaky Slots is joining an already rich library of studios owned by Evolution, among which are NolimitCity, RedTiger, NetEnt, and Big Time Gaming. However, all of these studios were acquired, whereas Evolution is changing tack with its latest launch.
Evolution is hoping to address a specific deficiency in the current market and landscape for slot games, which the company believes lack character and excitement. Evolution will pick cheeky themes, focus on fast-paced gameplay, and experiment with the direction of art, hoping to attract newcomers as well as seasoned players.
Evolution is not past drawing on the experience and original IP of other of its studios, and Sneaky Slots’ games will use mechanics such as xBomb and xNudge by Nolimit City, for example. Further synergies can be established as the studio continues to experiment.
