Light & Wonder is serious about strengthening its C-level with the company tapping Rohan Gallagher to be the company’s new EVP, Global Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. He will be based in Sydney, Australia, and in charge of CSR, ESG, and Investor Relations, as well as Global Communications, the company shared in a press release.
Gallagher is a seasoned financial specialist, and he joins Light & Wonder
Gallagher himself is a well-established business figure with significant experience in spearheading Investor Relations and decades of working for highly competitive companies. He is joining Light & Wonder in Australia, leaving his previous job as Managing Director at Jarden Group.
He is also a seasoned industry veteran, having worked as General Manager of Investor Relations & Treasures at Aristocrat, a well-known competitor. Gallagher welcomed the opportunity to step into this crucial position and help spearhead the company’s progress.
"The Company’s legacy of creating the world’s best games, coupled with its desire to further enhance stakeholder engagement, deeply aligns with my passions and experience. I look forward to amplifying Light & Wonder’s voice, strengthening connections with its communities, and driving meaningful change that supports L&W’s next level of growth."
His appointment was naturally welcomed by the Chief Financial Officer at Light & Wonder, Oliver Chow, who had this to say: "I’ve worked with Rohan for many years in different capacities, and his knowledge of the gaming industry and what it takes to succeed are unparalleled."
In the meantime, Light & Wonder has been forging ahead in Oceania and beyond, with the company receiving a license from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) despite regulatory headwinds in the country.
Before that, the company also obtained a B2B license in the United Arab Emirates, becoming among the first companies in the sector to have done so.
